Description: Pair of painted Sheraton pole screens, each with turned shaft on a tripod base with downswept legs. The shaped shields are covered with period wallpaper and have gold painted edges. The poles have urn-shaped finials and are decorated with striping and acanthus leaf pattern painted in color and gold paint. c.1790-1810. Pairs of fire-screens of this period are rare and very much sought-after items.
Condition: In excellent and all original condition (finials replaced).
